follow up about wiretap bill

So, this bill goes before the senate tomorrow for a vote. I wonder if there's enough time to to verify what's in the cnn report here (lj-cut because I was told it auto-plays) - and if it's enough to push enough senators against voting.
The short version - there's a claim made that, not only does this wiretap bill have an immunity clause for the telcos in violating the 4th amendment and FISA, but that it also has clauses providing for immunity for much of the administration against charges/investigations related to violation of the geneva convention and/or war crimes act.

That being said, I think we've still got a substantial expanse to fall (indluence wise) before Europe feels safe hauling is to the shed for a whipping on account of that.
