Polarized, or photoshopped, or are the colors just naturally like that?

The colors were like that. All I did to the shot was some dust spot removal (my sensor got damn dirty while down there, grrr) and set the raw decoder's tone curve to "Strong Contrast" vs. a linear contrast.
